Nigerian Security Corps, NSCDC Confirms Gunmen Abduction Of Two Persons In Oyo Community

A community source, who spoke to some journalists, decried the upsurge in criminalities.
According to the source, the incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, adding that the victims were kidnapped in different locations. "One was kidnapped on Okeho Road. I have confirmed it."

Two persons were reportedly kidnapped by gunmen in Otu, Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State, South-West Nigeria, on Saturday.
The victims of the early morning attack were identified as Dayo Olayanju and one Mrs Obasola, whose husband, Kehinde, was said to have escaped with gunshot wounds.

A community source, who spoke to some journalists, decried the upsurge in criminalities.

"Two people were kidnapped, but we don’t know where they have been taken to as at now."
Confirming the abduction, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), said the incident happened in the early hours of Saturday.

NSCDC's spokesman in the state, Samuel Opabiyi, who confirmed the incident to some journalists on phone said: “Yes, it is true, but the police have taken over the investigation because it falls under their purview."
Meanwhile, the police in the state have not officially reacted to the attack.
