A relative of the survivor, who identified herself as Love, stated that the adolescent went out on Friday, January 12, but did not return that day.

The Nigeria Police Force In Rivers State has confirmed the arrest of a Superintendent of Police, identified only as Emmanuel, who is attached to the Bori Police Area Command in the Khana Local Council of the state for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl.

The officer was detained at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Port Harcourt on the orders of the Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, for the alleged defilement.

A relative of the survivor, who identified herself as Love, stated that the adolescent went out on Friday, January 12, but did not return that day.

Love stated that the youngster returned in the morning of Saturday, January 13. When probed, the girl admitted that she was imprisoned and defiled by a police officer in his office at Bori Area Command till dawn.

She claimed the teenager said the police officer threatened to shoot her if she raised the alarm.

Love stated that after the revelation, she examined the girl and discovered that she had been violated.

According to a relative, after reporting the event to the Bori Police Division, the girl identified the culprit. The investigating police officer (IPO) then took the survivor to the hospital. A medical check revealed that the girl's hymen was ruptured, and injuries were found in her private parts.
