Lagos State Report Shows Residents Of Ikeja, Ojo, 20 Other Areas Live Under Hazardous, Unhealthy Air

The air quality index also listed 20 other areas of the state including Lagos Mainland 1, 3 and 5, Ikorodu, Oshodi 1 , Oshodi 2 and Agege, as where residents are living under hazardous or very unhealthy air.

The Air Quality Index released by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), has shown that residents of Ojo and Ikeja, the state capital, are living under hazardous or very unhealthy air.

The air quality index also listed 20 other areas of the state including Lagos Mainland 1, 3 and 5, Ikorodu, Oshodi 1 , Oshodi 2 and Agege, as where residents are living under hazardous or very unhealthy air.

Other areas listed on the index are Shomolu 1, Shomolu 2, Alimosho 1, Alimosho 1, Alimosho 2, Alimosho 3, Mushin 1, Eti-Osa 1, Surulere 1, Kofose 1, Kofose 2, Apapa 1, Ikeja 1, Ikeja 2 and Lagos Mainland.

Residents of the identified areas are said to be living under hazardous, very unhealthy, unhealthy, unhealthy for sensitive groups and moderate air.
The LASEPA said that “While the air quality may not be optimal, be rest assured that LASEPA is working tirelessly to enhance the state’s air quality.”
