A statement from Kensington Palace on Monday said the princess has now returned to her home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery.

The statement reads, “The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress.

“The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.

“The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”

Meanwhile, the nature of the surgery was not disclosed, but that it was an abdominal surgery.

The princess spent about two weeks in hospital following the surgery.

The monarch was admitted to the hospital on Friday to undergo a “corrective procedure” for an enlarged prostate, Buckingham Palace said.

It was revealed that the 75-year-old king would be treated at the London Clinic, where the Princess of Wales was recovering after undergoing abdominal surgery.
