Residents of Daura were on Thursday greeted by a scene of horror as a 90-year-old woman and her granddaughter were found dead with the latter's belly ripped open with some organs reportedly harvested.

Neighbours discovered the bodies of 90-year-old Hajiya Amina and her 23-year-old granddaughter, Biklisu on Saturday morning, according to eyewitnesses.
SaharaReporters learnt that the incident happened on Thursday, right inside the family home of the deceased persons in the Tudun Wada neighbourhood of Daura town.
According to reports, the nonagenarian was strangled while her granddaughter was slaughtered.
A resident of Daura also told our reporter that the granddaughter’s stomach was ripped open and her kidneys removed by the assailants.
Katsina State governor, Dikko Umar Radda has offered his condolences to the family of the deceased persons and the Daura emirate council.
The spokesperson for the state police command, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, has confirmed the incident, saying "We are waiting for further details."
