Nigerian Police Raid Kidnappers’ Hideout In Abuja, Arrest Four Male, Two Female Suspects

The Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police command has said that its operatives raided a kidnappers’ hideout in the Federal Capital Territory and arrested four male and two female persons suspected to be kidnappers.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, who made this known in a statement on Monday said that the suspects are identified as; 20-year-old wanted kidnap kingpin, Buhari Muhammad; 20-year-old Muhammad Sabiu; Isah Abdullahi; 21-year-old Hamzat Musa; Fatima 22-year-old Abdullahi and 23-year-old Zuliat Yusuf.

They were arrested in a hotel in Bassa village in FCT.

The police spokesperson said the kidnap syndicate was responsible for the abduction of one Joshua Eze, husband to Blessing Eze, who suffered a bullet injury in the process of her husband’s abduction on January 27, 2023.

Adeh said that upon their arrest, one AK-47 rifle, 10 mobile phones, cash sum of N345,000 and some other valuables were recovered from the suspects, who have reportedly confessed to the crime and other kidnapping incidents in the territory.

The police spokesperson said that the Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, has assured members of the public of his commitment to rid FCT of criminality.
