The President Joe Biden-led United States government has presented a bill before the US Congress to grant another $10Billion financial assistance to Israel to continue the war against Hamas in Gaza.

This was made known on Tuesday in a series of tweets on X (formerly Twitter) by Bernie Sanders, U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labour and Pensions.

Senator Bernie said: “Over and over again, I hear the President and Members of Congress express deep concern about Netanyahu and the humanitarian disaster in Gaza that he has caused.

“Then why are they supporting giving Netanyahu another $10billion to continue his war against the Palestinian people? This bill provides Netanyahu (Israeli Prime Minister) $10billion more in unrestricted military aid for his horrific war against the Palestinian people. That is unconscionable. I will vote NO on final passage.”

SaharaReporters had reported how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last Wednesday rejected a proposal for a Gaza war truce by Hamas.

Recall that Hamas militants wrote a new plan for a four-and-a-half-month ceasefire in Gaza, during which all hostages will be released, Israel's army will leave from the Gaza Strip, and an end-of-war agreement will be reached between the parties during this time.

The proposed agreement was seen by Reuters in a document confirmed by sources, stating that Hamas was demanding a full end to the war as a pre-condition before releasing hostages it seized on October 7 in the raid that precipitated Israel's assault.

This came as a response to an offer sent last week by Qatari and Egyptian mediators and cleared by Israel and the United States.

But the Isreal’s Prime Minister turned down the proposal because he felt his team was about to win the war which had last for about four months.

Netanyahu said victory was within reach and only total defeat of the Hamas would make Isreal to vacate its forces from Gaza

"We are on the path to total victory. Victory is within reach," he said at a televised press briefing posted by Reuters and seen on X by SaharaReporters.

He continued: "Only total victory will allow us to restore security in Israel, both in the north and in the south."

Netanyahu said Israel's military had killed or wounded more than half of Hamas's armed forces in the four months of war and this indicated that they are close to victory.
