Nigerian Commercial City, Aba Will Be In Total Darkness On Thursday, Says Aba Power Ltd

The company in a statement made available to journalists stated that the power outage follows critical repairs to be carried out by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on its facilities.

 

 

The management of Aba Power Ltd has announced that Aba, the commercial nerve centre of Abia State, Southeast Nigeria, will not have power throughout today, Thursday, February 15, 2024.

 

The company in a statement made available to journalists stated that the power outage follows critical repairs to be carried out by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on its facilities.

 

 “The management of Aba Power Ltd would like to inform our numerous customers that the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) will carry out critical repairs in its facilities on Thursday, February 15, 2024," the statement read. "As a result of these repairs, there will be no power supply to Aba and its environs throughout the day.

 

“Once the repairs are concluded, electricity will be restored to the Aba Ring-fenced Area.

 

 “We regret every inconvenience that will arise from the electricity shutdown and seek your understanding," it noted.
