Some hoodlums who appeared to be working for the staff of the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria(FAAN) on Tuesday forcefully seized a car belonging to a man, identified as Abdulaziz Arisekola at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos State.

In a video seen by SaharaReporters, the man was captured struggling with the hoodlums who asked him to surrender his car key for parking at the alleges wrong place within the airport premises.

The man went on to say that this would be his second encounter with these thugs at Lagos International Airport, claiming that the same group of men seized one of his automobiles last year using the same procedure but did not return it despite contacting FAAN.

He said, “Last year 2023, these car hijackers were at the international airport, they hijacked my car and forcefully took it to this particular location, and I went to the FAAN office at Ikeja local airport to report what my encounter was and they denied them.

“It is happening again today, I parked… to receive a call, just immediately after the fly-over. And these guys like five of them, they came to forcefully take my car to this particular location. I don’t know on whose authority. Anybody can just oppress you anywhere anyhow in this country,” the man said in a video seen on X by SaharaReporters

“Have you experienced this before? Which other airport around the world have kidnappers like Lagos Airport, Muritala Muhammed International Airport have some Hoodlums to kidnap you guys. Some criminal elements in @FAAN_Official are using this bad boys to take ransom. #LagosAirport,” the man captioned his video on X.

This incident is coming despite previous claims by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria that the car park at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos was safe and passengers should be less worried about their properties.
