The Kaida Primary Healthcare Centre in Gwagwalada Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, is currently in a state of decay, pictures obtained by SaharaReporters on Monday have shown.

The Centre covered with bushes has the roof blown out with rickety windows and without doors.

A resident and volunteer worker, Usman Mohammed who shared the pictures of the dilapidated facility on his X (formerly Twitter), handle, accused the Senator representing Federal Capital Territory, Senator Ireti Kingibe of neglecting the healthcare Centre and going to Dobi Ward Gwagwalada to construct 50-bed capacity hospital.

Mohammed, however, regretted that the Senator sighted the 50-bed hospital in Dobi despite hosting two hospitals with an outreach to teaching hospital.

Mohammed wrote on his X account: "This is Kaida Primary Healthcare so dilapidated but the FCT Senator is constructing 50-bed capacity in Dobi where there are over 2 hospitals with an outreach of teaching hospital but forget about this community."

Meanwhile, SaharaReporters learnt from the invitation card that the ground breaking construction of the hospital was performed on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
