Elon Musk, the owner of X, also took a jibe at Meta Platforms – Facebook, Instagram and Threads after they experienced outages.

Musk tweeted, "If you're reading this post, it's because our servers are working."

 

 

He also shared a tweet by Meta spokesperson saying, “We're aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now.”

Meta Platforms – Facebook, Instagram and Threads - were down for millions of users on Tuesday, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.

 

Nigerians also lamented outages for the platforms, saying they could not access them.

Users said they were logged out of the social media platforms.

On Facebook, users were logged out of the platform with a message reading, “The password that you’ve entered is incorrect”.

Users got a message saying, “Something went wrong,” on Instagram.

 

“There’s an issue and the page could not be loaded.”

 

 

 

Meanwhile, social media users on X have been complaining about the development.

 

Some users of the two social platforms checked whether the X platform (formerly Twitter) was down but were delighted to find out that it was working.
