Remaining Nine Kidnapped Female Students Of Nigeria’s Zamfara University Regain Freedom

It was reported that the nine freed students are in Abuja where they are receiving medical treatment in an undisclosed hospital. But they have been able to speak with their parents.

The remaining nine female students of the Federal University, Gusau in Zamfara State, who were abducted by terrorists in September 2023 have regained their freedom.

 

The Tribune reports that one Jacob Hassan, father of Naomi, one of the victims who were left in the terrorists’ den, confirmed the release of the abducted daughter and the rest of the victims.

 

It was reported that the nine freed students are in Abuja where they are receiving medical treatment in an undisclosed hospital. But they have been able to speak with their parents.

 

SaharaReporters in September 2023 reported that some gunmen suspected to be terrorists invaded and kidnapped no fewer than 30 students of the Federal University Gusau in Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.

The gunmen had invaded the students’ residence at Sabon-Gida identified as Nazeer Sabon-Gida and taken away the dwellers, who were mostly female students of the school.

 

 

While some of the abducted female students had been rescued by the Nigerian security personnel, nine of them had remained in the kidnappers’ den.
