The African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate for the 2024 Edo State governorship election, Udoh Oberaifo has blamed the abduction of the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Tony Aziegbemi on the fragile security architecture in the state and Nigeria at large.

Armed men suspected to be kidnappers recently abducted Aziegbemi along Idaro Street, off Country Home Road, Benin City, the state capital.

He was said to have left a meeting at the Government House and was returning home in his vehicle when he was kidnapped in the presence of his driver, who was attempting to go over a speed breaker.

However, the AAC governorship candidate who described the incident as a rude shock in a statement issued on Thursday, noted that Edo State and Nigeria were were in dire need of a better government provided by an alternative people’s party – AAC.

Udoh called on the Edo State government and security agencies to leave no stone unturned in the quest to rescue the victim unhurt.
