The police spokesperson said that the suspect was arrested following information received from concerned Nigerians that he was not just a physically disadvantaged beggar but a drug dealer.
The Lagos State Police Command has said that its operatives arrested a physically challenged man for drugs dealing.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who made this known in a statement on Friday said that the suspected physically challenged drugs dealer was arrested by police officers from Akinpelu Police Division.
The police spokesperson said that the suspect was arrested following information received from concerned Nigerians that he was not just a physically disadvantaged beggar but a drug dealer.
He said that upon arrest, weed suspected to be Indian hemp and tramadol capsules were recovered from him.
He said, “A physically challenged man has been arrested by officers from the Akinpelu division. Information was received from concerned Nigerians that he was a drug dealer.
“Upon his arrest, his bag was searched and found in his possession were weed suspected to be Indian hemp and tramadol capsules.
“Investigation is ongoing to apprehend his supplier and others in the supply chain.”
