According to the statement, the operation which took place on Monday, April 8, also saw the recovery of firearms of the terrorist.
The Nigerian Army has announced that its troops deployed for counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations have neutralised the notorious terrorists kingpin known as "Yellow Janbros."
The army in a statement on Tuesday, said that the terrorist was eliminated when the troops raided his den at Dangunu Village in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to the statement, the operation which took place on Monday, April 8, also saw the recovery of firearms of the terrorist.
The statement noted that troops successfully attacked the den of the notorious terrorists, which it said were responsible for kidnappings and other acts of terrorism in parts of North-West Nigeria.
"The troops overpowered and dislodged the terrorists and neutralised one of them. The gallant troops also recovered one AK- 47 Rifle, One AK-47 Magazine, 30 rounds of 7.62 mm Special and one hundred and fifty bags of stolen grains. The terrorists' enclave has been completely destroyed.
"The Nigerian Army remains committed in mitigating security challenges and will leave no stone unturned to rid the nation of terrorists and insurgents," the statement partly read.
