Nigerian Tweeps Ask Pastor Enenche To Publicly Apologise To Woman Embarrassed In Church Over ‘Fake Bachelor Of Law’ Degree Claim

The member mounted the pulpit to give a testimony on Sunday, April 14, for “successfully graduating with a ‘Bachelor of Law’ degree from the National Open University of Nigeria on Saturday, April 13.

Nigerians on X have asked Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre to tender his unreserved apology to a member of his church whom he disgraced in front of the congregation and accused of lying.

The member mounted the pulpit to give a testimony on Sunday, April 14, for “successfully graduating with a ‘Bachelor of Law’ degree from the National Open University of Nigeria on Saturday, April 13.

But in the middle of her testimony, Pastor Enenche interrupted her and accused her of lying.

He told her she didn't sound like a law graduate, going by how she spoke. He also said there is nothing like a "Bachelor of Law" and demanded she leave the pulpit.

Some Nigerians later shared a document and other things online as proof that the woman graduated from the National Open University in Abuja and obtained a law degree.

Following the development, an X user, Kunle said, “The only thing Pastor Paul Enenche needs to do to that woman is apologise and it should be profuse!

“All the excuse of “it’s not the Pastor’s fault, the woman should have been able to articulate the name of her degree” is lame!

“Ye all should stop acting like Christianity is a cult!”

Another user, Newton also blamed the cleric for his hastily concluding that the woman was not a law graduate.

He said, “Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis just jumped to conclusions. Spoken English should never be a yardstick for intelligence. Man should have carried out an investigation before publicly putting the woman to shame before the whole world.”

“Pastor Paul Enenche has only succeeded in reducing the poor lady to a piece of bread. The open university calls it BSC in law. As her pastor, common sense and the Bible should have taught you to be gentle and meek like Jesus Christ, but instead you embarrassed her. Shame on YOU,” he added.

“The lady who shared testimony and was embarrassed was not lying after all. NOUN actually gives BSC in law…

“I hope Pastor Enenche apologises same way he rebuked her,” another user, Comfort Fajugbagbe added.

“Know when to draw the line. Not everything, you run kirikiri to church for testimony. Yes, Pastor Paul Enenche was so harsh, but he was trying to protect the sanctity of the church from fake testimonies which have painted church bad recently. The woman didn't come prepared too,” Ejykman also wrote.

However, Nigerian Youths (@pissed_nigerian) said, “This is from NOUN website: fol.nou.edu.ng They don't offer BSc. in Law!! So Pastor Paul Enenche owes no one an apology!!

“I put it to you all that Sis Anyim Veronica Nnenna didn't put in the work in school. people did her assignments and wrote test for her.

“This is a clear case of a yahoo boy coming to thank God after maga don pay. and na dem go make noise pass. all they want is pictures for the gram. (in this case Facebook!!).”
