BREAKING: Court Affirms Suspension Of APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje

The Kano State High Court on Wednesday morning granted an ex parte order restraining the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, from parading himself as a member of the party.

 

This was seen in a court document obtained by SaharaReporters, ordering that Ganduje should stop presiding over all affairs of the National Working Committee of the APC.

 

Justice Usman Na'abba granted the application on Tuesday, following an ex parte motion filed by Dr. Ibrahim Sa'ad on behalf of two executive members of Ganduje's ward, Dawakin-Tofa Local Government Area, the Assistant Secretary, Laminu Sani, and the Legal Adviser, Haladu Gwanjo (plaintiffs), who were among the nine ward executives who suspended Ganduje on Monday.

 

The Kano State High Court issues an exparte order affirming the suspension of Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). 

 

The court ruled that Ganduje should no longer preside over all affairs of the APC's NWC.

 

The document reads: “Motion Ex-Parte together with 13 paragraph affidavit in support and a written address dated the 16th day of April, 2024 sworn to by the 2nd Applicant.

 

“Leave is hereby granted to the applicant's to serve the 1, 2nd and 4th respondents with all the processes in this suit outside the jurisdiction of this court to wit at No. 40 Blantyre Crescent, Abuja-Nigeria.

 

 “An order of interim injunction is hereby granted directing parties to maintain status qou ante as at the 15th day of April, 2024 in relation to the suspension of the 4th respondent from the 1 respondent by the Ganduje Ward Executive Committee restraining the respondents whether by themselves, servants, agents, privies from taking any steps contrary to the decision of the Executive Committee of Ganduje Ward which suspends the 4th respondent from the 1 respondent political party pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.”

 

The court later adjourned the hearing of the case till   adjourned to 30th day of April, 2024.
