The Plateau Peace Practitioners Network (PPPN) has called for investigation into the attack on two communities of Bokkos and Mangu local government areas of Plateau State, where at least 15 persons were reportedly killed including a 200-level Computer Science student at the State University.

It was learnt that the attack took place in Tilengpat and Butura communities of the LGA while the residents were sleeping, around 9pm on Thursday, shooting continuously.

However, PPPN in a statement issued on Saturday signed by its President, Nanmak D. Bali urged the relevant authorities to take immediate action to investigate the cowardly act, bring the perpetrators to justice, and implement measures to prevent such atrocities from recurring.

The statement reads in part; "The Plateau Peace Practitioners Network (PPPN) is appalled by the senseless and brutal attack on innocent students and residents of Mangu and Bokkos Local Government Areas (LGAs) on April 18 and 19, 2024. According to police reports, 13 lives were lost in the attack.
