In letter to the party's National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje dated May 17, 2024, and signed by the State Chairman and Secretary, Tukur Umar Danfulani and Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima respectively, the party also accused the Reps member of anti-party activities, factionalisation of party organs and engaging in dishonest practices.
The All Progressives Congress (APC), Zamfara State chapter has suspended the House of Representatives member representing Birnin Magaji/Kaura Namoda Federal Constituency, Aminu Sani Jaji, for alleged "habitual absenteeism from party meetings/activities".
In letter to the party's National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje dated May 17, 2024, and signed by the State Chairman and Secretary, Tukur Umar Danfulani and Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima respectively, the party also accused the Reps member of anti-party activities, factionalisation of party organs and engaging in dishonest practices.
The letter with Ref: APC/ZM/ADM/VOL. 1/027, and "Notice of suspension of Hon. AMINU SANI JAJI from the party for anti-party activities, factionalisation of party organs, engaging in dishonest practices, and habitual absenteeism from party meetings/activities," was also copied to the Zonal Vice-Chairman, APC, North-West Zone Kaduna.
The party noted that a seven-man state disciplinary committee also recommended his suspension from the party after the lawmaker failed to appear before the committee despite several invitations given to him.
"Now the State Executive Committee has reviewed the earlier findings made by the State Disciplinary Committee and agreed with its recommendations and resolved to suspend him based on the findings."
The letter which was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by one Abdul Balarabe, partly read: "Sequel to the notice of confirmation of suspension of HON, AMINU SANI JAJI (Member representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji) Federal Constituency of Zamfara State at the National Assembly from the party, which was forwarded to the State APC Headquarters, by the APC Executive Committee of Birnin Magaji Local Gov't, Zamfara State, which emanated from an initial notice of resolution of suspension slammed on him by the APC Executive Committee Birnin Magaji Ward. "The State Executive Committee of the APC, Zamfara state Chapter held an emergency meeting at the State Party Secretariat, Gusau on the 17 May, 2024, where Hon. Jaji's suspension matter was fabled to the members during which a report of an already constituted state fact- finding committee on Anti- Party activities established in the aftermath of the 2023 Zamfara State Governorship election was presented to the state's committee for deliberations by members.
"Sir, it may interest you to know that, the findings of that committee as contained in its report dated 15 July, 2023 equally fingered Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji and his direct involvement in Anti-Party activities and recommended for his immediate suspension from the party pending the review and deliberations by the State Disciplinary Committee and subsequent ratification by the State Executive Committee."
It added, "The seven-man State Disciplinary Committee also recommended his suspension from the party having failed to appear before the committee despite several invitations given to him, now the State Executive Committee has reviewed the earlier findings made by the State Disciplinary Committee and agreed with its recommendations and resolved to suspend him based on the findings. "Finally, and in view of the foregoing, the Zamfara State APC Executive Committee resolved and approved the suspension of Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji from the party based on the recommendations of the State Disciplinary Committee which was earlier made, coupled with his recent suspension by APC Birnin Magaji Ward Executive Committee and affirmed by APC Birnin magaji Local Government Executive Committee.
"Above is for your approval and ratification by the APC National Executive Committee and further action."
