Six Nigerian soldiers attached to the major theatre operation against Boko Haram insurgents, tagged Operation Hadin Kai have died in an auto crash in Bama, Borno State.
The soldiers were said to be responding to a distress call on Wednesday evening when the gun truck conveying them skidded off the road and rammed into a road shoulder, causing the vehicle to somersault multiple times.

“The vehicle which we called buffalo was driven by CPL Tairu. There was a Boko Haram attack, so they called them for reinforcement. On their way, they were called to turn back as they were facing another route, as he was about turning back, the vehicle skidded off. It happened here in Bama.
“Out of seven personnel, six of them died. Four died at the spot while two died later in the hospital.”
