The train derailed in the Jere area of Kaduna State about an hour after it left its station, leaving scores of passengers stranded.
Senator Shehu Sani, who once represented Kaduna North in the Senate in a post on Sunday, said, “A minor Kaduna Abuja morning train derail near Jere, but engineers are attending to it.”
There is no official statement yet from the Nigerian Railway Corporation.
