The Edo State Police Command has issued a directive prohibiting officers below the rank of the Assistant Commissioner of Police from using air-conditioning units or refrigerators in their offices.

The statement added further that all officers below the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) are to immediately disconnect ACs and refrigerators from their offices.

When SaharaReporters contacted the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Edo State Command, Chidi Nwabuzo, he said the circular was "strictly an internal matter."
