Robbers Kill Bus Manager For Plateau Riders Transport Service In Bayelsa

A bus station manager of Plateau Riders, identified as Alhaji Auwalu Aliyu, has been shot and killed by suspected armed robbers in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The robbery incident occurred on Tuesday at around 9:00 p.m. near the State Assembly complex at the Imgbi axis of the state capital.

Reports say the late station manager was heading home after the close of day to meet his wife in the vicinity when he was shot and killed.

The robbers also stole all the money with him, throwing him out of a moving commercial bus.

Street robbery has increased in Yenagoa and its environs lately, with residents lamenting daily encounters with thieves.

 

The Police Public Relations Officer, Musa Mohammed confirmed the incident, saying the brother of the deceased had reported the incident to the police.
