Tinubu Directs Mamman Ahmadu To Resign As Director-General Of Bureau Of Public Procurement

President Tinubu's directive was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

President Bola Tinubu has directed the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer (DG/CEO) of Bureau of Public Procurement, Mr Mamman Ahmadu, to resign. 

 

President Tinubu's directive was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

 

 

Ngelale in the statement captioned "President Tinubu Directs Reorganisation of the Bureau of Public Procurement" said that the President’s directive for Ahmadu’s resignation was part of a larger reorganisation effort in the public procurement system to reposition the agency for greater efficiency and transparency.

 

 

The statement read, “President Bola Tinubu has directed the resignation of Mr. Mamman Ahmadu from office as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP).

 

“This is part of a larger reorganisation effort in the public procurement system to reposition the agency for greater efficiency and transparency.

 

“The Director-General is to hand over to the most senior officer in the Bureau, pending the appointment of a new Director-General.

 

“The President thanks Mr. Ahmadu for his services and wishes him success in his future endeavours.”
