SaharaReporters earlier on Thursday reported that Keyamo had inaugurated a ministerial task force to go after some aircraft operating in the country which were being used for illegal activities including drug trafficking and money laundering.

The retired police officer appointed by the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, as the Director of Aviation Security Services of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), ACP Afegbai Albert Igbafe (retd.), has been seen patronising a fashion designer, known for charging customers millions of naira per outfit.

SaharaReporters earlier on Thursday reported that Keyamo had inaugurated a ministerial task force to go after some aircraft operating in the country which were being used for illegal activities including drug trafficking and money laundering.

The FAAN security department is meanwhile headed by ACP Igbafe (retd.).

In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, the retired ACP is seen with Seyi Adekunle, a Nigerian fashion designer and founder of Vodi Group.

As of May 2017, Seyi Vodi was listed as one of the largest fashion labels in Nigeria.

Igbafe is seen with a white material that he wants the designer to sew for him. At the scene, he was hailed by the people there, saying, "Add it. Baba likes the white."

"This is this police officer that Keyamo brought to do Director of Security for FAAN," a source told SaharaReporters.

Afeghai was appointed as director in December 2023, after the sacking of all directors in the aviation.
