Take-It-Back Movement Mobilises Ogun Residents, Groups To Join #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria Protests

The protests, scheduled to start on August 1 and end on August 10, are aimed at drawing the government’s attention to poor governance, hunger, hardship and worsening poverty and economic crisis in the country. 

 

Pro-democracy group, Take-It-Back Movement in Ogun State has urged all its members, civil rights organisations, and every concerned citizen to join them on the frontline of the planned protest against the prevailing hardship, hunger, and bad governance. 

 

The protests, scheduled to start on August 1 and end on August 10, are aimed at drawing the government’s attention to poor governance, hunger, hardship and worsening poverty and economic crisis in the country. 

 

The TIB Ogun State in a statement jointly signed by Comrade Sola Odunaro, (Dir.Mobilization Ogun TIB); Comrade Akanbi Ifadola Afofun, (Coordinator) and Comrade Oyefade Oluwaseun (P.R.O Ogun TIB) on Tuesday said; "As a Revolutionary  Movement, we are firmly committed to supporting and actively participating in the revolutionary demands of Nigerians that springs out of consciousness amongst Nigerians addressing the degraded state of the nation via the upcoming nationwide protest, #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria.

 

"It's very sacrosanct to restate that the drastic displacement, hunger, poverty and frustration, injustice, insecurity and bad governance have brought Nigerians into this great and historic reality and the call for total liberation for all.

 

"This movement is a conscious call of the nation, resonating with millions who demand an end to Hunger, Corruption, Injustice, Mismanagement, Security, Free Education, and Bad Governance 

 

"We stand resolute in our mission to advocate for transparency, accountability, and genuine democracy in Nigeria. Our involvement in this protest is not just symbolic; it is a declaration of our unwavering dedication to the principles of justice and human rights. We recognize that true change comes from the collective power of the people, and we are ready to amplify this call.

 

"We urge all our members, sister Civil rights organizations, and every concerned citizen to join us on the front line, August 1st - 10th, 2024 7AM Daily. 

 

"ABEOKUTA: MKO Abiola Stadium; SAGAMU, Akarigbo Palace Busstop; SANGO-OTA, Underbridge sango; IJEBU-ODE, Sagamu-Ore under-bridge.

 

"Let us march together, raise our voices, and demand the change our country so desperately needs. 

 

"Let this protest mark the beginning of a new era of good governance that truly serves the interest of the great  people of Nigeria," the statement added.
