Some agents of the President Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government have been captured on camera paying sums of money to some Nigerians mobilised to stage a “Say No To Protest” which is aimed at disrupting the planned nationwide #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest.

The government’s agents were captured in a video shared by a witness and obtained by SaharaReporters on Tuesday.

Some of the captured mobilised persons were seen in photos fully dressed in clothes and face-cap with inscription, “Say No To Protest, Dialogue Is The Best Option.”

SaharaReporters had reported that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) state chairmen from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) vowed to safeguard President Tinubu's administration against attempts to destabilise it through protests.

The APC national secretariat in Abuja, Alphonsus Ogar Eba, chairman of the Cross River State chapter and Secretary of the APC States Chairmen Forum, joined by his colleagues, on Monday revealed that the planned 10-day #EndBadGovernance protest from August 1-10 aims to undermine Tinubu's government.

They warned that violent protests would be counterproductive. The chairmen pledged to remain vigilant and proactive in countering any actions that could disrupt governance or incite unrest.

They announced that all party structures, from the ward level to the national level, would be mobilised between July 29 and August 11, 2024, to highlight President Tinubu's commendable projects and programmes.

Secretary of the APC States Chairmen Forum said they “will not sit idly by and let undemocratic forces undermine the government we worked tirelessly to elect”.

“Allowing such a scenario would be a disservice to the Nigerian people who entrusted us with this mandate,” he said.

He said for the next two weeks, starting from Monday, July 29, they will embark on solidarity rallies. He said the rallies will be done by “all structures of our party across all political wards, LGAs and states capital including Abuja FCT”.

He said the campaign will end on August 11.

According to him, they shall “embark on peaceful rally to re-echo the laudable projects and the programmes of President Tinubu with greater vigour to protect and defend our democracy from any attack by hoodlums or some criminal elements who want to carry out violent protest”.
