While addressing the protesters at the Unity Bridge in Yola, the state capital on Saturday, the governor acknowledged the citizens' right to a peaceful protest, saying, "In democracy there is room for people to ventilate their grievances and tell the government at all levels their feelings, the aggregate of this is what you’re telling us today."

As the nationwide hunger protest, tagged #EndBadGovernance enters its third day, the Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has addressed the protesters, commending them for conducting a peaceful march in the state.
