Adaramoye popularly known as Michael Lenin, who is the National Coordinator of Youth Rights Campaign (YRC) and National Mobilisation Officer of Education Rights Campaign (ERC) was reportedly abducted by the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja around 2am on August 5, 2024.
A revolutionary activist, Francis Nwapa, has condemned the abduction and continued detention of Michael Adaramoye by the Nuhu Ribadu-led Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), while demanding his immediate release.
Adaramoye popularly known as Michael Lenin, who is the National Coordinator of Youth Rights Campaign (YRC) and National Mobilisation Officer of Education Rights Campaign (ERC) was reportedly abducted by the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja around 2am on August 5, 2024.
SaharaReporters reported on Thursday, that the YRC had called on the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to immediately release the four activists who were abducted overnight from their residences following their involvement in the #EndBadGovernance protest in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
The activists, SaharaReporters gathered, were targeted due to their roles in organising and leading the #EndBadGovernance protest in Abuja.
However, in a statement shared on his X account, Nwapa reminded the President Bola Tinubu-led administration and its security agencies that Nigeria is a signatory to Africa charter on human & people's Right and other international instruments.
"I condemn the abduction and continuous detention of Michael Adaramoye @NuhuRibadu Ied NSA," Nwapa stated. "We demand his immediate and unconditional release Now."
