The protesters flooded the major streets of Damaturu on Saturday, passionately calling for President Bola Tinubu's swift intervention to address the socio-economic crisis gripping the nation.

A group of concerned Nigerian women under the aegis of Women Against Hunger had also in Abuja held a massive rally against the current economic crisis in Nigeria.

The women who were singing in front of the National Stadium in Abuja called the notice of President Bola Tinubu's government to the hunger which Nigerians are currently facing as a result of his failed policies.

“If you see Tinubu, tell ham say Hunger dey, if you see Akpabio, tell ham say we dey for Stadium, hunger dey. If you see Shettima, tell ham say hunger dey,” the women chorused in pidgin English in the video.

A remarkable scene also unfolded on Saturday as a woman over 70 years old joined the one-million-man march in Oyo State, lending her voice to the ongoing protest.

The septuagenarian was seen in a video made available to SaharaReporters lamenting the current economic crisis in Nigeria.

She said, “‪We are not violent protesters. Help us to beg President Bola Tinubu to pity us. We are hungry. And his government has turned many people into baggers. He should pity us. He should do this government better. We are not fighting. We are only protesting peacefully.”

"Grand Finale #EndBadGovernaceInNigeria the elders are out to hear their grievances #IbadanProtest we are not backing down on the struggle for total liberation. The old aged are involved in protesting against #Hardship in the land,” one of the protesters captioned the video on X.
