Additionally, the police commissioner claimed that 600 suspects were arrested for various offenses, ranging from criminal conspiracy, inciting disturbance, arson during protests, theft, riot and other.

The police said 150 of the suspects were arrested for violating curfew, and six were arrested for masterminding destruction and looting at the Kano State Printing Press.

The commissioner, who disclosed that the suspects were arrested across the state, however, noted that two were arrested for kidnapping, five for armed robbery, while eight were arrested for car theft.

He said that one Beretta pistol was recovered from the suspects.

“The command has remained resolute and steadfast in its duty to protect the lives and properties of all residents in Kano State.
