The successful operation targeted the terrorists' camp in the Bula Daloje area of Bama Local Government Area, resulting in the elimination of key insurgent leaders.

Troops from Operation Hadin Kai, supported by the Hybrid Force and Civilian Joint Task Force, reportedly neutralised three Boko Haram terrorists, including notorious commander Abu Rijab, in the Sambisa Forest, Borno State on Saturday.

The successful operation targeted the terrorists' camp in the Bula Daloje area of Bama Local Government Area, resulting in the elimination of key insurgent leaders.

Counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in the Lake Chad region Zagazola Makama was informed by intelligence sources that the troops' incursion into the terrorist enclave was met with resistance.

Insurgents staged an ambush en route, sparking a heavy gunbattle. Despite the attack, the troops successfully fought back, killing several terrorists and forcing others to withdraw.

The operation yielded the recovery of two AK-47 rifles and a mobile phone, a notable achievement in the ongoing counter-insurgency efforts in the Lake Chad region.

Tragically, one member of the Hybrid Force was struck by gunfire during the operation and later succumbed to their injuries, making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
