The organisation noted a concerning similarity between the clandestine arraignment of 28 protesters in Kaduna state and the current situation, suggesting that both cases are indicative of a worrisome trend.

The Take-It-Back Movement (TIB), a human rights and pro-democracy organisation, has expressed grave concerns about the disrupted arraignment of Kano protesters.

TIB Movement on its X handle on Monday said the magistrate intends to move the proceedings to Goron Dutse prison rather than holding them in court.

“The scheduled arraignment of Kano protesters has been disrupted, with reports that the magistrate will hold proceedings at Goron Dutse prison instead of the court.

“This bears a resemblance to the unjust secret arraignments of 28 protesters in Kaduna. This nonsense must stop!” it said.

Meanwhile, TIB had planned to hold a solidarity gathering at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday to demand the immediate release of #EndBadGovernance protesters facing charges.

In a statement released on Sunday, TIB announced that members will occupy the court premises from 7am to show support for the protesters who are being persecuted and illegally detained.

The group also invited the general public to join the gathering and stand in solidarity with the cause.

"Join us as we gather at the Abuja High Court tomorrow at 7 AM to show solidarity and demand the immediate release of persecuted and illegally detained #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters who are facing charges," TIB wrote.
