According to Downdetector, at 11:01 a.m. ET (1501 GMT), the site recorded fewer than 164 outage reports in the U.S.
The peak of the disruption saw over 8,200 reports at 10:31 a.m. ET.
The cause of the outage remains unclear, and X did not respond to Reuters' request for comment outside of regular business hours.
