NUGLOW in a statement signed by its General Secretary, Gregory Olatunji noted that Nigerians should be vigilant, mobilised and organised for a protracted struggle to defend their socio-economic interest in order to end their sociopolitical and economic nightmares.

The National Union of Gaming and Lottery Workers (NUGLOW) has called on Nigerians to brace up to resist the recourse to civilian dictatorship which the Bola Tinubu's presidency has become.

The group asserted that the abduction, humiliation, arrest and detention of Comrade Joe Ajaero, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President by the DSS had further exposed the intolerance of dissent, recklessness and high handedness of the Tinubu presidency as a fascist dictatorship.

NUGLOW in a statement signed by its General Secretary, Gregory Olatunji noted that Nigerians should be vigilant, mobilised and organised for a protracted struggle to defend their socio-economic interest in order to end their sociopolitical and economic nightmares.

It called on Nigerians to rally round, solidarise and join hands with the Labour movement leadership to fight for the genuine yearnings and aspirations of the people, adding that Nigerians should stop agonising unprecedented hunger and suffering in the land but to start organising and team up with the trade union movement to end the current neo fascism.

The statement reads in part; "The abduction, humiliation, arrest and detention of Comrade Joe Ajaero, the NLC President by the DSS on his way to International Trade Unions Conference in the UK has further exposed the intolerance of dissent, recklessness and high handedness of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu APC presidency as a fascist dictatorship.

"Though, the Labour movement President has been released by the federal government agent of coercion - the DSS, rather than celebrate Comrade Ajaero's unconditional release from the baseless and illegal arrest and detention, Nigerian workers, youths and genuine students union activists / leaders should brace up to resist the recourse to civilian dictatorship which the Tinubu's presidency has become.

"Nigerians should be vigilant, mobilised and organised for a protracted struggle to defend their socioeconomic interest in order to end their sociopolitical and economic nightmares.

"A government that arrested more than 2000 peaceful protesters; a government who has no remorse for over 300 killed unarmed protesters, a government that detained minors in prison for days, a government that charged peaceful protesters for treason and felony, a government that unleashed well-coordinated fascist thugs on peaceful protesters in Lagos, a government that has stifled press freedom, a government that clampdown on Civil Society Organisations not supportive of its draconian and anti-poor economic policies, a government that has declared the labour movement an arch enemy must be seen for what it is - a fascist dictatorship and must be resisted by freedom loving Nigerians.

"NUGLOW calls on Nigerians to rally round, solidarise and join hands with the Labour movement leadership to fight for the genuine yearnings and aspirations of the people.  Nigerians should stop agonising unprecedented hunger and suffering in the land but to start organising and team up with the trade union movement to end APC Neo fascism."
