Governor Seyi Makinde administration has warned all head teachers and teachers in Oyo State to desist from holding meetings within or outside any public school premises during school hours.
The Chairman of the state Universal Basic Education Board, Nureni Adeniran made this known while monitoring schools’ resumption in Ibadan on Tuesday, the PUNCH reports. He announced that any primary school head teacher who indulges in such act will be severely dealt with.
He said: “This is a warning to all head teachers and teachers to desist from holding meetings during school hours.
“Henceforth, any primary school head teacher who indulges in such act will be severely dealt with.”
The unions and associations within the basic education sub-sector should adhere strictly to the policy, as the new session begins, Adeniran appealed.
He directed Education Secretaries to disseminate the information to all the head teachers in their respective local government universal basic education authorities.
