Meanwhile, it was reported that an authenticated confidential official document put the attack death toll at around 100, and that 81 victims were wounded.
Mali has been facing a series of Islamist militants attacks and killings in recent times.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Islamist militants attacked a river boat in North-Eastern Mali, killing at least 49 civilians.
They also reportedly attacked an army camp, killing 15 soldiers, while around 50 militants were said to have died during the attack.
