The U.S. Mission in Nigeria has called on American citizens residing in the country to participate in the upcoming November 2024 elections.

In a statement on Monday, the mission outlined a three-step process for overseas voters to ensure their ballots are counted.

To vote, U.S. citizens overseas must first request a ballot by visiting the Federal Voting Assistance Program website, FVAP.gov, for detailed instructions.

Once the ballot is received, it should be completed accurately and returned.

The mission further emphasized that completed ballots can either be mailed directly or dropped off in postage-paid envelopes at the U.S. Embassy in Abuja or the Consulate General in Lagos.
