PDP Party Constitutes New Caretaker Committee To Manage Abia State

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted a new caretaker committee for its Abia State chapter.

 

The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, who made this known in a statement issued on Tuesday said that the constitution of the committee was sequel to the expiration of the tenure of the State Executive Committee in the State.

 

According to him, the constitution of the committee was pursuant to Section 29(2)(b) of the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017) which stipulated in Section 21(2) (a-b) the committee would function for a period not exceeding 90 days (three months), or till a new executive committee is elected.

 

The members of the Caretaker Committee are; Alwell Asiforo Okere as Chairman; Kenneth Madubike - Secretary; Innocent Ezekiel - Administrative Secretary; Obinna Nwachukwu - Member; Christy Emenike - Member; Ben Okezie - Member; Chijioke Nkaru - Member; Victor Ebere - Member; Chukuwudi Ezebuiro - Member; Love Onina - Member; Nduka Nwaorisara - Member.

 

“The NWC charges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of our Party in Abia State to remain united and continue to work together for the progress of the Party,” Ologunagba said.
