Women from Oleh, Emede and Olomoro communities in the Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State under the Oil Mining Licence (OML 30) on Wednesday protested against Heritage oil company, operator of the OML 30.
The aggrieved women displayed placards saying: "No Gas Turbine Plant", "No Operations", "Heritage Crisis Provocateurs", "Depart from Our Land" and "The Right to Elect the PIA Trust Chairman Belongs to Us" among others.
The protestors stormed the operational base of Heritage oil company at Oleh, headquarters of the council.

The protest disrupted the normal activities of the company.
Addressing the protesting women, the Chairman of Isoko South council area, Friday Ovoke Warri, appealed for calm so as to find a lasting solution to the disputed issues.
He added that no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of rancour and acrimony.
Warri assured the protestors that the issues raised will be resolved peacefully.
He said, "Notwithstanding my role as chairman, entrusted with advancing our local government's progress, I assume the humble position of a citizen today to stand alongside you in this moment of shared concern.
“I would like to seize this opportunity to appeal to all mothers here to reject this protest and prioritize dialogue.
"It is evident that our oil-producing community is navigating a pivotal phase towards a better society, as we have long envisioned. While the transition's effects may seem unbearable, leading to reactions and protest calls, we must pursue constructive engagement."
