Vice President Shettima Offers Condolences To NNPCL Boss Mele Kyari Over Loss Of Daughter

Shettima, who attended the funeral prayers at the Annur Mosque in Abuja on Friday, prayed for the peaceful repose of Fatima’s soul and asked God to grant the Kyari family the strength to bear the loss.

 

The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Mele Kyari has lost his daughter, Fatima, who was aged 25 years on Friday.

 

The development made Vice President, Kashim Shettima, to console Kyari, over her death.

 

Shettima, who attended the funeral prayers at the Annur Mosque in Abuja on Friday, prayed for the peaceful repose of Fatima’s soul and asked God to grant the Kyari family the strength to bear the loss.

 

The Vice President, Kashim Shettima further sent his condolences in a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, Office of the Vice President, Stanley Nkwocha.

 

The statement read , “Vice President Kashim Shettima has condoled with the family of the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari, over the loss of his daughter, Fatima Kyari.

 

“VP Shettima, who prayed for the peaceful repose of the late Fatima, asked God to grant the family the strength to bear the painful exit of their daughter, who was in her prime.

 

“The Vice President led other mourners at the funeral prayers, which were held at the Annur Mosque in Abuja.”

 

It is uncertain the cause of her death as of the time of this report.
