The meeting is reportedly taking place at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume.
Representatives of the Nigerian Government under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu are currently meeting with the leadership of leaders of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC).
According to Vanguard Newspaper, the meeting is on the state of the nation, especially the recent hike in petrol prices and its consequences.
The meeting is reportedly taking place at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume.
Those present are Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, National Security Adviser; Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Labour Minister and Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy.
Others are Alhaji Mohammed Idris, Information Minister; Heineken Lokpobiri, Petroleum Minister, State; Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), and representatives of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Limited.
Filling stations owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) had hiked the fuel price to N1,030 per litre in the country.
This new increment took effect earlier this month at various NNPC filling stations.
This new increment came barely one month after the NNPC hiked the fuel price to over N850 per litre.
