A fire outbreak has reportedly destroyed a telecommunications mast belonging to a service provider within the premises of Muhammadu Buhari Hospital in Giginyu, Kano State.

"The State Fire Service received an emergency call from one Muhammad Garba, who informed the control room of an outbreak of fire at Muhammadu Buhari Hospital, Giginyu,” Abdullahi stated.
He said firefighters were promptly dispatched to the scene, where they worked to contain the flames and prevent further spread.
“Fire crews from the central station were mobilized to the scene, where they discovered a 20 x 20 ft premises used as a network provider's antenna inside the hospital was ablaze.
"Swift intervention from command operatives, the fire was extinguished. Recovered property included solar batteries, an inverter, three power generators, and additional equipment," Abdullahi added.
