SaharaReporters reported earlier on Wednesday that some yet-to-be-identified gunmen had reportedly killed some policemen in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.
The Nigeria Police Force has revealed the identities of the policemen involved in the gunmen attack in Abia State on Wednesday morning.

It had been reported that the incident happened at about 7:30am on Wednesday citing multiple sources.
However, the Abia State Police Command's wireless message which SaharaReporters obtained, named the identities of the officers involved.
According to the message, ASP Etet Ubokulo was unfortunately killed during the attack which the statement said were carried by six young men while two other operatives, namely ASP Etim Obungha and CPL Chukwuma escaped.
The report noted that Chukwuma sustained a gunshot injury on the leg and has been moved to the 14 Brigade Hospital where he is being currently attended to.
The report further noted that the gunmen after killing officer Ubokulo took away his rifle.
Although, the report said that the Patrol Team leader, ASP Etim Obungha escaped, his whereabouts remains unknown as at the time of releasing the situation report.
The police situation report partly read: "GOOD MORNING SIR X SITREP X ATTACK ON POLICE MEN/MURDER X TODAY 20/11/2024 AT ABOUT 0730HRS X PATROL TEAM MINE LED BY ASP ETIM OBUNGHA WHERE ON PATROL WITHIN OHAFIA TOWN AND ON GETTING TO ASAGA ROAD BY TERRY KEY A GROUP OF YOUNG MEN NUMBERING ABOUT SIX (6) DOUBLE CROSS PATROL TEAM AND OPEN FIRE ON THE THEM KILLING ASP ETET UBOKULO AND MADE AWAY WITH HIS AK 47 RIFLE X INJURED ONE ASP ETIM OBUNGHA WHO MANAGE TO ESCAPE WITH HIS RIFLE INTO THE BUSH X WHILE ONE CPL CHUKWUMA WHO WAS EQUALLY INJURED ON HIS RIGHT LEG AND MANAGE TO ESCAPE WITH HIS RIFLE TO THE STATION.
