The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, have notified residents in the FCT and environs that it would carry out a scenario-based simulation exercise on crisis response.

A statement signed on Thursday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Adejobi Muyiwa, said the exercise is aimed to prepare security forces to respond appropriately and adequately to security threats in Nigeria.
"In furtherance of efforts in combating all forms of crimes and criminality in Nigeria, the Federal Government has initiated a joint operation and training exercise to prepare security forces to respond appropriately and adequately to security threats in Nigeria.
"In this regard, the Office of the National Security Adviser in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, wishes to notify residents of the Federal Capital Territory and its environs that there will be a simulation exercise on crisis response around Idu Train Station on Thursday, 28th November 2024 from 9am to 2pm.
"Members of the public are hereby enjoined not to panic as the exercise, which will come with heavy sounds of explosives, will be carried out in a controlled environment with no possible danger to residents as it is aimed at simulating response to emergency situations."
