Nigerian Police Arrest Four Suspects Supplying Military Uniforms To Bandits In Katsina

The Katsina State Police Command in a statement noted that its discovered two pairs of military uniforms neatly concealed in a black polythene bag in his possession.

 

The Nigerian police in Katsina State have arrested one Aminu Hassan, 25, of Dundubus, Daja Local Government Area, and three other suspects for supplying security agencies’ uniforms to bandits terrorising Danmusa LGA and its environs.

The police said on Tuesday that Hassan was apprehended on 19 November 2024, at about 1pm, during a routine patrol along the Yantumaki-Kankara highway in Danmusa LGA. 

The Katsina State Police Command in a statement noted that its discovered two pairs of military uniforms neatly concealed in a black polythene bag in his possession.

The Katsina State Police Command stated, “The suspect has been aiding bandits terrorising Danmusa LGA and its environs.”

Following their arrest, detectives conducted investigations during which the suspects reportedly confessed to their crimes.

“During investigation, the suspects confessed to the commission of the offence and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation,” the statement read.

The police reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating criminal activities and ensuring security across Katsina State.

The statement reads in parts, “The suspect, was arrested at on November 19th, 2024, at about 1300hrs, Danmusa LGA, Katsina State, by operatives of the command during a routine patrol along Yantumaki and Kankara highway, in possession of two pairs of military uniform neatly concealed in a black polythene bag.

“During investigation, the suspects confessed to the commission of the offence and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.”
