Confirming the incident to Channels TV, Okoye said while there were no casualties recorded during the incident, an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the explosion.
The police spokesperson said the Deputy Commissioner of Police, alongside the command's Anti-Bomb Squad, visited the site to ensure that there were no remaining explosives in the area.
He reassured the public that the police are fully committed to identifying those responsible for the incident and ensuring justice is served.
He encouraged residents to continue their daily activities without fear, assuring them that efforts to maintain security are ongoing.
