Irosanga, who hails from Okrika, Rivers State, was a veteran actor and television personality, was popularly known for his role as a native doctor.
Another tragedy has hit Nigeria’s movie industry, Nollywood as a veteran actor, Columbus Irosanga, has been confirmed dead.
Irosanga’s death was announced by his colleague, Hilda Dokubo, on Instagram on Thursday.
She wrote, “There can’t be a shortage of angels in heaven that the few here are called home like this na! This one is heavy on Uniport Rivers State Nollywood.
“Our uncle Coli @colu_mbusirisoanga has gone to be with the lord. Ikoli eh dein na mu.”
Irosanga, who hails from Okrika, Rivers State, was a veteran actor and television personality, was popularly known for his role as a native doctor.
Irosanga was also a senior lecturer at the Department of Theatre Arts, University of Port Harcourt.
His death came barely 24 hours after a young actress, Pat Ugwu, passed away at the age of 35 on Wednesday.
Pat’s colleague, Emeka Okoye, had shared the news of her death via an Instagram post on Wednesday, accompanied by a funeral poster outlining the arrangements for her final farewell.
Okoye wrote, “Rest in peace sis. Pat ugwu. @patpat_ugwu so we no get to work again? Death whyooo? God please. Rest in peace PAT. May your soul rest in the bosom of the Lord,” he wrote.
“God please protect all my colleagues, especially those am close to. This unusual Death is frightening . I proclaim life to everyone close to me this 2025 in the precious blood of Jesus. Amen.”
