The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the posting of several senior officers to various commands and formations across the country.
The mass redeployment, which the police said is aimed at strengthening police operations nationwide, takes immediate effect.
According to an official signal from Force Headquarters, obtained by SaharaReporters on Tuesday, the following Assistant Inspector Generals of Police (AIGs) and Commissioners of Police (CPs) have been reassigned:
AIG Margaret Ochalla – AIG FCID Annex, Lagos; AIG Abayomi Peter Oladipo – AIG Zone 13, Ukpo; AIG Fred Ekokotu – AIG Zone 11, Osogbo; AIG Iwo Nemi Edwin Osigboka – AIG Border Patrol Force, FHQ Abuja; AIG Garba Ahmed – AIG Department of Training and Development (DTD), FHQ Abuja; AIG Salman Dogo – AIG Zone 5, Benin; AIG Kanayo Uzuegbu – AIG Zone 9, Umuahia; AIG Patrick Adedeji Atayero – AIG Zone 16, Yenagoa and AIG Tolani Alausa – AIG Zone 17, Akure
Additionally, several Commissioners of Police (CPs) have been elevated to AIG positions and reassigned accordingly. Notable postings include: CP Mobolaji Victor Olaiya – AIG INTERPOL, FHQ Abuja; CP Laolu Adegbite, MFR – AIG Community Policing, Research & Planning, FHQ Abuja; CP Clement Robert – AIG Zone 10, Sokoto; CP Gyongon Augustine Grimah – AIG ONSA.
