Nigerian Music Firm, Chocolate City Accuses Odumodublvck Of Assault, Harassment In Escalating Feud
December 23, 2025

According to the label, Odumodublvck allegedly assaulted a Chocolate City staff member, Feyi Ajayi, in the backstage area.

Nigerian music company Chocolate City Music has accused rapper Odumodublvck (Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu) of repeated harassment, threats and physical assaults against its staff and artists, alleging a year-long pattern of violence that culminated in an incident backstage at a major Lagos concert last weekend.

In a statement released on Tuesday night, Chocolate City said the most recent incident occurred in the early hours of 22 December 2025 at the Rhythm Unplugged Concert, one of Nigeria’s largest annual music events.

According to the label, Odumodublvck allegedly assaulted a Chocolate City staff member, Feyi Ajayi, in the backstage area.

“What began as a rap beef has devolved into a sustained campaign of harassment, stalking, and physical violence that now endangers our entire team,” Chocolate City said.

According to the label, the most recent incident occurred in the early hours of December 22 in the backstage area of Rhythm Unplugged, where Odumodublvck allegedly assaulted Feyi Ajayi, a Chocolate City staff member.

Chocolate City claims that multiple eyewitnesses saw Odumodublvck approach Ajayi, issue threats directed at the company and its leadership, and then headbutt him without provocation.

“According to eyewitnesses, Tochukwu made threatening statements about Chocolate City before physically assaulting our staff member,” the statement read.

The label further alleged that when a bodyguard intervened, Odumodublvck and his associates poured drinks on Ajayi while shouting insults about Chocolate City executives.

“Mr. Ajayi is currently receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained in the assault,” the company said.

“The severity of the attack required immediate medical attention.”

Chocolate City described the incident as part of a broader pattern of alleged violence and intimidation stretching back to December 2024.

Among the incidents cited: "December 2024: Odumodublvck allegedly assaulted Blaqbonez at Landmark Beach and forcibly took his eyeglasses, which the label claims have not been returned.

"March 2025: The rapper allegedly followed Blaqbonez to a hotel in Uyo, cornered him in an elevator with multiple associates, attempted to punch him, and threatened that he “had guns.”

"The same day, Chocolate City alleges Odumodublvck and his associates harassed Morin Oluwatobi, Blaqbonez’s manager, verbally assaulting her and physically obstructing her from working.

"March 2025: Odumodublvck allegedly instructed associates to attack Chocolate City artist Major AJ at a public eatery.

"September 2025: The rapper allegedly attempted to strike Blaqbonez at a fashion show in England and later spat at Oluwatobi.

"October 2025: Chocolate City claims Odumodublvck engaged in sustained online threats and cyberbullying against company executive Osagie Onobun."

The label also alleges that over 100 threatening messages were sent to Blaqbonez across social media and private channels, with some threats extending to executives’ family members.

“These threats have extended to anyone associated with Chocolate City,” the statement said.

Chocolate City emphasised that while lyrical rivalries are common in hip-hop culture, criminal behavior is not.

“Rap beefs are part of hip-hop. Physical violence, stalking, spitting on women, threats with weapons, and intimidation are not,” the company said.

The label warned that unchecked escalation could lead to serious harm.

“The global hip-hop community has buried too many artists because disputes spiraled into violence. We will not wait for such a tragedy.”

The company confirmed it has reported the matter to law enforcement.

“As a law-abiding organisation, we have escalated this matter to the relevant authorities,” Chocolate City stated.

“Our team’s safety is our highest priority, and we will use all available legal means to ensure it.”

Chocolate City also called on event organisers and industry stakeholders to take responsibility.

“You have a duty of care to professionals working in your venues,” the company said, urging promoters to strengthen security protocols.

Chocolate City said it did not take the decision to go public lightly, but felt compelled to speak out due to the alleged targeting of staff and women.

“We take no pleasure in this public statement,” the company concluded, “but when an artist’s behavior becomes a sustained campaign of violence, particularly targeting women, we have a duty to protect our people.”

As of the time of publication, Odumodublvck has not publicly responded to the allegations. Authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding any investigation.
